Would these ranked districts play against the unranked ones for 10 wins, then their own districts for another 10? It seems like making the rich richer and the poor poorer (if anyone really cares about glad rank requirements...)

I don't like this idea for a different reason, though. It seems a little silly to try and change things about the most active PvP area, right? Shouldn't they focus on TA, the dead one? If not TA, then at least GW2.

IMO

No i said how i thought it should play out in an earlier post.

Team from "unranked" RA could look like this
5 win streak in "unranked" = 1 glad point and transfer to "ranked" battle
5 new wins in "ranked" = 1 more glad points
10th win in "ranked" = 2 more glad points.
15th win in "ranked" = 3 more glad points and transfer to TA.

Team from "ranked" RA: nothing out of the ordinary here.

5 wins = 1 glad
10 wins = 2 glad
15 wins = 3 glads and transfer to TA.

If a team from "unranked" loses a player after transferring to "ranked", should they pick up a player from "ranked" or "unranked" to continue onward?

So they would only be playing other "ranked" random teams, or ones that have 5 wins from "unranked" arena.

This thread has sadly been a prime example of why i get irritated with so many online games.

I am an employed adult with a family not unlike Puddin Cheeks. Like Puddin I like to play games in my spare time. With all my other obligations and activities I don't always have alot of time to play games. This is where I start to get irritated by the "Online game crowd".

All the needless ridicule. All the newb calling. All the you just copied your build from X website. The get some real skills comments. Lets think about some of these supposed faults that many of you have so many problems with.

"Newbs" - We where all newbs at one time, you have to start some where. Add to that every experienced player complains about how few people are playing GW. Maybe if these players would stop called every player a newb and leaving the group more of these people would stick around. Next time instead of dropping out of the game how about giving the newb some tips. Maybe next time you run into them they will no longer be a newb and be a competitive member of the GW community.

"Skill Set Copying" - This is a bit related to the newb issue. I acutally like to use the skill sets from PvX. It saves me alot of time. I personly wish every newer player would use PvX. Are PvX builds the key to instant success? No Way. But I would rather have a team of rookie players trying PvX builds than some random set of skills they are throwing together at the last moment. The PvX sets are also great starting points for understanding how guild wars skills interact. I have now hevily modified many of the skill sets I initialy copied from PvX. Am I one of the better GW players because of PvX? Not by any means. Have I improved because of PvX? Absolutley. So lay of the PvX builds, imagine the alternative.

"Get real skills" comments - I believe they people are trying to do this by playing PvP. If you know of a better way, by all means, let us know.

Some issues will never go away. There will always be griefers that get thier kicks from ruining every one else's gameplay. But the existance of griefers should not be a reason to limit the potential rewards of the more casual players. After all some of us don't have 40+ hours a week to spend on video games, much less a single video game.

Now on the original post topic.

I think you ideas for RA are great. The current system of 10 battles only to have your team crushed is always a let down. It would be nice to have an option extend your streak a bit longer against realistic competition.

Why not. I don't feel good playing TA anymore, because my playing times are so erratic that I almost always have to ditch my team at some random time.

In short you are just proposing greater rewards for RA players. It's bad idea imo, i wish they would remove glad points from RA completly or make TA alot more appealing (more glad points/z keys rewards/higher point cap...) The point is to make TA alot more appealing than RA otherwise people will just continue to sync/farm RA 24/7 at the convenience of not having to form teams or face organized teams.

RA should have never been anything more than a place to test builds/practice pvp, being rewarded for winning streaks in a RANDOM group is a joke... the gladiator title is a joke. So you have a g8/g9+ and i'm really not impressed because you're an r/p who 1-2 c spaces with BS imba pet builds which are highly effective but so easy to play my cat could kill somebody if he walked over my keybaord.

lol @ RA glad farmers .. just lol

Lol @ thread trollers, that don't read any of the content before they post. Repeatedly I have said Rank doesn't and shouldn't matter, but apparently that is the only reason people play games (almost all online games) anymore. Just look at battlefield 2 that game will not die, because everyone doesn't won't to leave there precious ranks and titles behind them and move on to one of the many other great FPS games that are out there. Sadly since the inception of titles into GW the game has shifted greatly into that same realm of people mashing buttons trying to compare themselves to others in "fake" realm to compensate for their sad pathetic real lives.

You are getting flamed, and will continue to get flamed, trolled and otherwise ridiculed, because you refuse to acknowledge LOGIC.

Let me break it down for you. Random Arenas. RANDOM arenas. Here's a definition: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/random

You will notice the part that talks about no definite aim, reason, or pattern? With your requirements, you take the chaos that makes it so.

RA was made as an entry point, to introduce people to PvP. Those who hone their team skills go to TA or GvG. For those who can't/don't, well, not everyone can be a pianist, and not everyone knows PvP.

"Sadly", with your last post, you contradict yourself by saying you don't care about rank and are against it, yet throughout the thread, even in the OP, saying you want an easier way to get rank, because of your situation. Nice way not to care.

Logic like this is what made PvE more care bear than it ever was. They've managed to keep it out of PvP so far. Let's keep it that way.

The only reason that rank would matter in my first post is to just decide which players could play in the supposed "next level" outpost, district whatever. Apparently I worded that wrong and offended all the people that i referred to in my most recent post, aka you.

So here is a better proposal, make the outpost acceble after a certain number of wins or amount of time spent battling in RA(500 hours?), then you get to go to, lets call it "Veteran Arenas".

So now all you fairies that care about your glad title will be left alone. So now you can go troll some other threads.

Flaming everyone who disagrees with you is a pretty good way of getting your thread closed.
